Dr. agr. Robert Wiliater Sibarani
Since 1997 to 2016, he worked as a public officer at Directorate General
of Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products, Ministry of Agriculture
of the Republic of Indonesia. During those years, he focused on doing analysis
data of quantity, price, and position of the Indonesia’s main plantation
commodities in the domestic and international market. He also monitored auction
markets for Indonesia agricultural products and administration process for
certification of cocoa and coffee.
He finished his Master of Science study with the main field of study in
International Ecological Agriculture from the University of Kassel, Germany on
2003, and he also finished his Doctoral study with focus study in International
Migration from the similar university on 2017.
Since 2018 to 2019, he conducted a coaching about the stages and
strategies to achieve sustainable livelihoods, and the improvement of knowledge
and implementation of the best practices of organic farming for farmer
community in Sumber Ngepoh village, Malang district, Indonesia. From 2020 to
2021, he also carried out a coaching about the develop of entrepreneurship
capacity and skills in agribusiness for the youth and farmer community in
Mulyoarjo vilage, Malang district, Indonesia.
Since 2017 to currently, he is as a researcher with the main field of
research in Sustainable Livelihoods at the Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince
of Songkhla Univeristy, Hat Yai city, Thailand.
